Pumpkin Party Time!

Put on your high-heeled sneakers &

come join in the fun...

Beth over at Food As Art is hosting her very first one!

Party, that is, with PUMPKINS galore!

Some on the doorsteps & some on the floor.

Some are just scattered all over,

...what a chore!

The tables & chairs have been set with the theme.

All that is missing is hearing you scream!

Witchy Tablerunner, Blue

Even some witches have dressed for the day...

Thank you for stopping to see all our loot.

Now fly over to Beth's house...

Its gonna' be a hoot!

Rollo Pretzel Treats:

Spread out square pretzels in a single layer on cookie sheet.

Top each with an unwrapped Rollo caramel-chocolate candy.

Bake in 200° oven just until candy begins to soften.

Remove from oven & immediately top with either a nut

or another square pretzel.

Allow to cool.....if you can stand the wait!

My favorite way to eat pumpkin:

No Bake Double Layer Pumpkin Pie

(Kraft photo...I haven't made mine yet!)

1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

1 cup plus 1 Tbsp. milk, divided

1 Tbsp. sugar

1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided

1 HONEY MAID Graham Pie Crust (6 oz.)

1 can (15 oz.) pumpkin

2 pkg. (3.4 oz. each) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding

1 tsp. ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp. ground ginger

1/4 tsp. ground cloves

BEAT cream cheese, 1 Tbsp. milk and sugar in large bowl with whisk until blended.

Stir in half the COOL WHIP. Spread into crust.

WHISK remaining milk, pumpkin, pudding mixes and spices 2 min. (Mixture will be thick.)

Spread over cream cheese layer.

REFRIGERATE 4 hours or until set.

Top with remaining COOL WHIP just before serving.

I am also joining Marty for Tabletop Tuesday and Susan for Tablescape Thursday along with Michael Lee for Foodie Friday.

  16. Rett, There's a lot to love in this post! From the food, to the table runner, to the witch quilt, to the witch's shoes, to the poetry, to the photos of pumpkins in front of the church - what a neat post! Your pie recipe is a keeper and I definitely will be trying it. Thanks for participating in the Pumpkin Party.
    Blessings, Beth

  17. Love it all here, where to begin! First off, the witch boots are just so cute, as well as that colorful crystal ball. I also really love the runner you made and your wonderful tablescape! Then as if that wasn't enough to love, you have the most adorable food ever too, especially the spider eggs and even topped it all off with a fantastic poem! OMG! LOL!

As for my blog, I just changed it out last night so I could change out my backgrounds with the seasons. I am now using the "Awesome Inc." designer template by blogger. I had to play with the width adjustments on the layout to get it not to overlap. What a pain! But I think I got it where I can want it for now! :))

  18. Rett, when are you expecting me? I couldn't be there before noon tomorrow!! WAIT - make that NEXT Tuesday. LOL Everything is just adorable!!!! I remember all your tasty spooky treats you shared last Halloween - - - I know the kiddos are going to have such fun at Nana Wett's!! Love you, dear friend!!

  19. You flip me out! You seem to have everything awesome for every holiday, making it all seem so cool and unique! Your company must just love coming to your house! I am so jealous of the energy you must have to get this all arranged and perfect every time. Bravo, my friend!

  22. Your poetic pumpkin party post was so much fun to read. The spider devilled eggs would be a hoot to serve at a dinner party.
The Kraft pumpkin pie looks like one I'll have to try too.

  23. This is all simply amazing. Love all of it! YOU ARE A VERY GOOD POET!

  24. What a very fun post.
    You're such a great host.

    And your rhyme, your rhyme,
just made it the best time!

    The witches with bling
    are really my thing,

    Oh, the carrot, the carrot(s)
    I could hardly bear it.

    Eggs, topped with a fly
Oh, I thought I would die!

But the thing I loved most
was the start of the post.

    The purple witch shoes
Oh, I can't help but ooze!

    Loved it all,
    Happy Halloween
