End of Autumn Colors

DSC_0143

I've finally remembered to take my good camera with me

& have been able to capture some beautiful shots of autumn in Ohio.

I captured these leaves especially for my baby sis in AZ.

Years ago we collected them & ironed them between waxed paper

& mailed them to AZ so she could have a touch of fall.

They have had some recent health issues that

have us all worried.

If you're so inclined, I sure would appreciate it if you could

send up a *knee-mail* for them, both.

We strongly believe in the Power of Prayer!

I took some shots at a local restaurant above &

a local greenhouse below.

At my favorite grocery store, too!

Soon, the heavy rains & then the snow will arrive.

For now, I'm drinking in every drop of color &

trying to fully appreciate each day the Lord gives us!

Thanks for joining me in the Gazebo House.

fondly,
Rett

  3. Rett, Your camera captured the best of fall. I just love the color of a maple tree. It is my favorite fall color. Don't you love how that tree still has summer color on it too?
I am putting together a blog prayer journal, I just prayed for your sister.

  5. Rett, You have the same love for fall that I do! It is the only time of the year that I like here in Ohio. Gee, am I wishing I was still back in NM or what!? LOL I love the colors we're starting to see down here. Although, many of the leaves have already fallen, even though they didn't even change color. Oh that hot dry summer sure wreaked havoc on our trees, didn't it? Will keep your family in my thoughts...

  6. You do have some exceptional colors. Most of our leaves die before they get really colorful. Only a few types of trees really look fallish.
    Prayers for your sis's family.

  7. What gorgeous colour! We mostly get golds and browns here, and I do miss the reds of the eastern provinces.
Knee-mail - love it!...and yes, 'Rett's sister and family' are on my prayer list.

  9. Great photography, Rett. You really capture the season.

We woke up to snow and everything coated in white this morning! Its gone now, hopefully for a while. I hate to see the colors of fall leave and get replaced by all the grey. The cycle of life.....

  14. Ok Rett, I need the scoop on your new camera. You always took good pictures before but these are "magazine-worthy". Beautiful! Send me an email with what type of camera you have now if you have time.
P.S. I think I would enjoy grocery-shopping a whole lot more if I had a cute store like that to shop in! :)

  15. So beautiful! I miss fall! We don't get a lot of it here and when we do it is around Thanksgiving! Fall is my favorite and was absolute perfection when we lived in Michigan! I am living vicariously through everyone's beautiful shots! Thanks for sharing for all of us who are still going to the beach!

    Praying for your sister!
