Patiently Awaiting Spring...

...sitting in the sun on the porch,
reading and playing with my new camera.

Yes, I finally made a decision to

purchase the Nikon D90,

mostly because dear husband had

Nikon lenses that I could borrow.

I need to take some classes & learn

how to use it in manual mode.

These shots were all done in auto.

This nest is UNDER the Gazebo.

Look what flew OVER the Gazebo!

It was a beautiful weekend

to be outside.

Please visit Mary at The Little Red House

for Mosaic Monday.

Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Well, I am so glad I got to visit on the porch with you. It has been horribly dreary here today and yesterday and visiting your lovely spot has just perked my mood. That camera took some incredible pictures on auto!

  3. Love your mosaic at the top and that picture of the crocus is so crisp and sharp! We had beyond beautiful weather here on Friday and Saturday. Today was rainy, but made the perfect day to watch movies with the family! I love the pillowcase dress in the top! My MIL learned how to make them for my daughter and I love them!!

  9. Good for you with the new camera! I cling to my little fit-in-my-palm camera, but admire the quality of the photos possible with a big-girl version!
It looks like you had a beautful day where you are.

  13. Lovin' the shots! I have a Canon and took a class . . . it was great. Now I know how to shoot manual and what all those buttons mean. But sometimes I lose patience because I have to THINK about how to shoot the shot and then I lose it and UGH . . . but! practice makes perfect!
    Good girl! Have fun! Karen

  14. Thanks for stopping by. I hope the lady's miniatures ended up with someone who appreciates them. I went to an estate sale a while back, and one of the bedrooms was completely filled with doll houses, building & vignettes. They had everything priced high. I put in a bid for one of the houses completely furnished, but did not get it. I don't have room for it anyway. :)
