Belated Easter Stuff

St Patricks Day 2012

I'm a little late in sharing some of my Easter decorations...real life just got in the way!

I hope you're not too sick of seeing eggs & bunnies & colored faux grass.

The bunny INSIDE the jar came from Tuesday Morning, this year.

The other one is an oldie but goodie from years ago.

I have found several cheese boards with glass domes over the past few weeks & decided to spray paint them for both Easter & for a Delta Zeta party later in the summer.

My DD & her half sisters are all Delta Zeta gals.

PINK & GREEN are DZ colors!

I also painted that metal cookie tin on the left & I found the PINK & GREEN doilies at Michael's last month.

The purple & white ceramic baskets were from last year. I'm pretty sure they were FTD floral containers.

While I had the spray paint out, I did a cardboard egg carton, too, just for the fun of it!

I also discovered that a 3rd glass cheese dome fits on top of my Longaberger egg plate PERFECTLY!

Next year, I'm going to serve deviled eggs & put a container of beet horseradish beneath the doom for those who like 'em HOT.

Easter 003

My Celtic cross made an appropriate centerpiece on the dining room table & that vase of gorgeous yellow tulips made the rounds from room to room.

Finally, one of the many treats I took over to the grandkidlet's home for them to enjoy.

  1. Rett, it all looks lovely. I'm a fan of pink and green combo.
Cute idea to paint the cheese trays, and the egg carton, too. LOL
I was late pulling out the Easter things this year as well. Nothing came out till this past Thursday, so I've been slow to get some photos taken. Guess I'll have them ready to share for next year if I'm still blogging. LIFE has been busy here too. Just not enough time to work in all that I want to do.
Glad you had a beautiful Easter. I bet Miss C looked smashing in her Easter frock. Did you make it this year?
    Enjoy your week........Sarah

    1. No, I didn't finish the dress I was working on in time, Sarah. It has 17 rows of smocking & I just got behind. I hope to finish it for her birthday in JUNE!!! LOL

  2. All of your Easter decor is so cute! Great colors! I love that you spray painted an egg carton. Your treats looks so yummy too! Happy belated Easter friend!

  3. The colors of your Easter are just beautiful!

  4. I hope you both had a very blessed Easter. Your Easter things are as lovely as all your others!

  5. There is so much fun color at your house, Rett! I love that you used pink and green- so springy! And your celtic cross looks lovely in the middle of the wreath, too. I put up all my Easter things yesterday- although I got antsy and started taking down the vignettes on Sunday. LOL - I didn't even get it all out this year yet, I couldn't wait to see it all gone! Guess what? I sent that request to Pinterest and never heard back from them! Wow- they must be waiting to see if I'll sue! I have to think what my next recourse is.....

  6. Everything's really cute Rett, love the colors! Any of the cupcakes left over?:@)

  7. My favorite part of all is the painted cheese domes. I almost bought one at our local ReStore, and I walked right out the door without it. UGH. I want to paint one too. That's cute! (Ours would be pink and white here since all the girls around here are Phi Mu, or as their father loves to say, "Phi Mooooo".

Such a smarty pants I married.

  8. Hi Rett, I like your Easter decorations, and the cupcakes are really pretty. I love your new header photo too. The daffodil looks great with the little star! Have a good week, my friend.
    Blessings and hugs, Beth
