Today is the biggest gathering of

Rooster Lovers in bloggerville!

At last count, there were almost 200 participants in

this second annual "Show Off Your Roosters"Blog party

hosted by Barb at Bella Vista.

I didn't get to join in last year's party as I didn't own a single rooster!

I've gathered a few since then in the Gazebo House

and they are slowly multiplying.

This big fella is by Fitz & Floyd.

He IS King of the roost!

He usually sits high atop my bakers rack in the kitchen

but today he's front & center in the sunroom

along with my everyday dishes.

These large square platters

make great chargers, serving pieces

or just on display for decoration.

"All around the barnyard
The animals are fast asleep.
Sleeping cows and horses,
Sleeping pigs and sheep.

Here comes the cocky rooster
To sound his daily alarm.
"Cock-a-doodle-doo!
Wake up, you sleepy farm!"
