Do you remember when I found the wreath,
below in the clearance aisle of Home Goods?
below in the clearance aisle of Home Goods?
It was originally $80...seriously???
It was reduced to $39.99.
Then it went down to $18.00.
I finally bought it for 1/2 off at
a whopping $9 bucks!
It had a few bare spots but I
just took sprigs from the back &
hot glued them into those empty spaces.
I added some spring-like silk flowers that
I had in the house.
I had in the house.
I'm very happy with the transformation!
The glittery ribbon came from the Dollar Store.
I'm going back for more as
I've decided the iron planter needs a bow, too.

I had enough flowers left over to fill
the wrought iron planter, too.
I FINALLY put in a cocoa mat liner to
cover up the stems.

I had a bunny tucked in there for Easter,
but now it just works well for Spring.
If you'd like to see some other
transformations, go to
Susan's gorgeous blog,

Rett-Good things come to those who wait :)---and to those with talent and imagination. It is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat's one of the prettiest Spring wreaths I've ever seen. Good deal too!!!
ReplyDeleteHow satisfying it is to make a beautiful creation for a fraction of what it could cost- turned out very nice and springy-you definitely got a good deal
ReplyDeleteAnother happy and truly inspirational post! What a beautiful wreath, Rett and perfect for your front door. It's so nice that you took pictures of the transformation process. Who knows how many other pretty wreaths might be on front doors now because of you? :)
ReplyDeleteYour wreath is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteExcellent bargain score! Love the wreath.
ReplyDeleteSo much prettier than what I came up with this spring.
ReplyDeleteRett, this looks perfect for spring. You are so clever! I love the look on your glass door. It all gives a feeling of fresh springtime. Good idea to add a bow to the planter on the wall. They look so nice together.
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely! It is so Springy!
ReplyDeleteBe careful a bird doesn't nest in it..I opened the door once and a bird was in my wreath and flew in the house! Took us an hour to get it out! Freaked me out...old Irish superstition..a bird in the house ..you will soon hear of a death..Oh those Irish people..they had a million of them!
absolutely delightful! so pretty and cheerful! I hopped over from Between Naps on the Porch and am so happy that I did! Please accept my invitation to drop in at my place when you get a moment. I have become a follower and would be honored if you choose to do the same! until later...
