While my hand & ankle are healing,
please let me share some snowy photos from around town,
that I took weeks ago, when we had our first snowfall.
It has been a VERY mild winter here in Ohio, thankfully!
Typing is still slow & difficult,
so I'm using mostly just one hand,
thus my lack of words!
Thanks to all who offered sympathy &
well wishes.
I'm feeling very lucky to still have
feeling & full range of motion in
both my hand & foot.
The body is amazing in its ability
to heal itself.
I'll be back to *play* with you soon!
Hugs,
Rett
Rett, I'm horrified to read about your accident! I hope you heal completely and with as little pain as possible.
ReplyDeleteYou live in a beautiful town - picture-book pretty, especially in the snow!
Beautiful! The first real snow of the season is so pretty, isn't it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Healthy New Year to you and yours.
Rett, these photos are gorgeous. Beautiful sunshine here the last few days. Take care and heal quickly. Thinking of you ~ Sarah
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! Looks sort of like my town in the snow......
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better after your traumatic fall. It couldn't have happened at a busier time. I hope you can take it easy and let yourself heal, Rett. You do pretty well typing with one hand. Beautiful photos. I love the architecture in your lovely town.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pics Rett! It's been amazingly mild in Philly too-I'll take it! Hope you're feeling better soon-take care:@)
ReplyDeleteWe've not had a good snow here in Columbus, just a flurry or two, so I'm enjoying your beautiful pictures. I must admit I'm looking forward to some pretty snow, but then it can go away altogether.
ReplyDeleteCindy
Beautiful snowy scenery Rett! Snow is such a rare thing for us and never lingers very long so I'm always excited to see it! Glad you're on the mend!
ReplyDeleteRett, Everything is just beautiful. I love your extra, extra large photos! Stunning! We have had a very mild fall and winter thus far. I'm so thankful. Really, only two months of winter to go...are you guys heading south after the first of the year?
ReplyDeleteHugs, Beth
Hi Rett, Your pictures are so pretty and you have had more snow then we have so far. Our little snow didn't amount to much. The black ice was there so we had to be very careful, but it didn't last long. I am glad you are recovering from your injury. Thanks for sharing all of the beautiful pictures from this post and the previous ones. Happy New Year. Your Missouri Friend.
ReplyDeleteKeep getting better! What lovely snow scenes. We haven't had much yet and you make it look beautiful. I love it as long as I don't have to drive in it! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures! I think everything looks so much more Christmassy with snow! Now I must go back and read what has happened to you! I hope you had a very Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better. I am so worried about falling. I try and remind myself to slow down all them time. So many of the people I work with have hurt themselves by silly mishaps. Get well quick, Lori
ReplyDeleteGorgeous snow pictures!! Almost makes me shiver!!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping for a mild Christmas here in FL, but we are having a few chilly days, too chilly for me! (No freezing tho!)
Continue healing!
Happy New Year!
Katherine
How sweet of you, Rett, to still be blogging and sharing, in spite of your accident. You must love us, your Blogland friends, is all I can figure! :) These photos are beautiful; they look like Christmas cards! You live in a beautiful community.
ReplyDeleteHappy new year to you and yours, Rett, and I pray for your body to continue to heal quickly. ~Zuni
eautiful pics! No snow here yet, and that is fine with me, we had enough last year to last a few years. I gave dh a roof rake for Cmas! Aren't I good? Last year we had to borrow one as they were all sold out and we had an ice dam on the roof. Oh what wonderful memories!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are doing better. I was at the doc today, got some bug from all the germs on Christmas I guess. I am up coughing my head off.
So any exciting plans for New Year's? I will most likely be asleep!:)
Get better!
Rett, these are absolutely gorgeous photos. Like Christmas cards, but honey, I can't believe you got hurt and had to have stitches! I'm so glad you didn't do something worse, but I hate that you are hurt!!!
ReplyDeleteI've finally gotten my computer back, and I am not going to get a new one for now. Hopefully later. I'm feeling like I might never catch up with blogging, but it feels so good to visit you and all my buddies. I am sending you healing thoughts and well wishes across the miles.
I had a fall, too, one night when the fire alarm unexpectedly went off. I missed the bottom step and skinned my knees and twisted my ankles and shook myself up, but I'm okay now. Still don't know what happened. Then we had a near fiasco with the table. Saved by the Lord. He gave me a creative idea to fix the problem. So all went well. I have just missed you all.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas (despite the takeout), and I hope you have a blessed 2012
Sending all my love and best wishes to you, my friend!
XO,
Sheila :-)
Oh my goodness, I am just now reading your post on your accident. I sincerely hope & pray that you will heal quickly. It sounds like your Christmas still was fun. I hope your New Year will be a wonderful, healthy, happy one. Hugs sent your way...
ReplyDeleteRett,
ReplyDeleteHi! Your photos are so good. I hope you're doing much better. Happy New Year! Pat
Rett!!! I just read about your fall over at Mary's and had to run right over to say I hope you are feeling better sOON!!! I am so sorry this happened to you! Here's wishing for NO accidents in 2012 but a year of health, wealth, joy, prosperity and LOVE!!!! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteThe photos are gorgeous. We have only had a slight dusting of snow so far. I was actually out walking the pup in just a sweatshirt today and it was in the 80's the entire time we were in Florida. I wish it would just stay this way all winter...but in Illinois, that just isn't going to happen:)
ReplyDeleteYour snow looks beautiful!!! Wish we had some!
