I just finished making up a batch of these
& thought I might bring up the post again
for those who might want to try them this year.
They are Wickedly WONDERFUL!
(more like candy than a cookie)
I'm busy sewing for Christmas,
so little time to blog right now,
but I'll have lots of photos to share, soon!
For a last minute little treat, I thought you might like to try
making a batch of these easy & delicious little cookies.
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts
Enough graham crackers to line a 10 by 15 inch cookie sheet.
Mix butter, brown sugar and bring to rolling boil.
Boil 1 full minute. Turn off heat and quickly mix in chopped walnuts.
Quickly spread on graham crackers before it cools.
Bake 350ยบ for 15 minutes.
Cool and break up into bite sized pieces.
These delicious & easy little treats freeze well but I wouldn’t know that because
I hope you are enjoying the holiday preparations at your home.
Thank you for stopping by The Gazebo House during this busy time.

Rett~I tried this awesome recipe, but gilded the Lilly a bit by drizzling a little (melted) chocolate over the crackers before breaking them apart. As expected they were a big hit..."thank you!"
ReplyDeleteMaybe next time you and I will have some left to freeze, lol.
Sweet wishes,
Sara
This is one of my favorite cookie recipes, Rett. Sometimes I melt chocolate chips on the hot cookies. My family loves this recipe. Can't wait to see your sewing projects.
ReplyDeleteYour new banner is beautiful! These cookies sound delicious, wonder how they would be without the nuts (I can't eat nuts.)
ReplyDeleteKatherine
Those are on my sister's list to do every year. Yummy!

ReplyDeleteI'm definitely going to make these! Thanks for the recipe. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteMe again. There are a number of the AJKA Arabella goblets that show up on eBay. I only have to buy 4 more red ones and 2 more cobalt ones. I buy them a few at a time. I usually wait for a good deal to pup up, but toward the end, I'm tempted to pay more and finish my collection. We'll see how patient I can be. If you want them, you shouldn't have any trouble finding them. There's a good deal for 2 amethyst ones on right now...a Buy It Now, I think. Happy hunting! Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteNow this looks like something I would love and would be so easy! Thanks so much for sharing this with us.. Happy Sewing! xo marlis
