Be sure stop by Happier Than A Pig In Mud to see all the great Rachael Ray recipes that everyone has tried.
I ♥ doing these parties, because it makes me step out of my comfort zone & try new recipes.
I made Rachael's Avocado Salad-Topped Steak Tacos.
She put hers in taco shells but we find those difficult
to hold & eat without making a mess so I used taco bowls instead.
Kathleen, from Cuisine Kathleen made her own ruffled
edged taco bowls HERE
but I bought mine, preformed, in a box
BEFORE I even saw hers.
I just want you to know I didn't COPY her idea! LOL
Are you kidding me???
I never would have even thought of trying to make my own.
Printable recipe can be found HERE.
I'll also be joining Yvonne at StoneGable for her
Michael Lee at Designs by Gollum for her
Foodie Friday
&
The Tablescaper for her
Thank you, Ladies for hosting such fun parties each week
&
Thank YOU for visiting The Gazebo House.
You're welcome to stop by anytime.
fondly,
♥ Rett ♥
We had taco salad for dinner last night -- but yours looks way better -- love those bowls -- we eat ours off a plate!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea those bowls are. I'm pretty sure they're not available up here, so I'd have to make them myself, but what a great idea for a luncheon.
ReplyDeleteHi Rett!
ReplyDeleteThis looks delicious. I will be putting this on my list of recipes to try.
Have a great week! La
Hi again - I just had to come back after reading your comment! I guess there's one in every family!
ReplyDeleteI love anything with avocado! This sounds Loki a perfect summer salad.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice healthy dinner Rett, I had an avocado yesterday, don't think my bacon guacamole was quite as good for me! The salad looks great with your pretty depression glass! Thanks so much for playing along:@)
ReplyDeleteHi Rett~ Your Steak Taco Salad with Avocado looks "delish" as Rach would say :-) I love the idea of the taco salad bowls instead of shells! I so agree about stepping out of your comfort zone~ isn't it fun cooking-along?!
ReplyDeleteThis looks wonderful, Rett, and I would love to try it. Yesterday avocados, not big ones, were 2.99 each in our local market. I guess it takes a lot of gas to get them up here near the Northern border. I do gorge on them when they get cheaper.
ReplyDeleteI love taco salads..in taco BOWLS..:)
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazing and you presented it so pretty.
I think my husband would like this! I love avocados too! Yes, I think the bowl would be easier. Nice presentation!
ReplyDeleteKatherine
HI RETT!!!
ReplyDeleteYou know we eat ALOT of taco Salads around these parts!!!!Sometimes, we have them and Have no bowl, we use crushed or cracked chips over our salad. I love it with Steak and or Chicken. AND YES AVOCADO!!!!My fav part!!!
yours looks so good, maybe dinner tomorrow night!!!I have everything --except --Yes you guessed the tortilla bowl!!
hugs,
jamie
I loved hearing your voice!!!
Thanks so much for the information on that gorgeous mile long table. I looked up their site and you can go and eat on that table in that bay ($200 per person)- all done for this year, but what a table to sit at for a special event.
ReplyDeleteThis looks wonderful. I tried a Rachel Ray dessert, but it isn't worth blogging. We didn't like it. Maybe I can whip something up tomorrow that is blogworthy!
What a great looking meal! I know we don't have taco bowls here in France so will have to investigate how to make them myself.
ReplyDeleteRhett..this looks soooo refreshing,I haven't had avacodo in forever, now I must get some and have this wonderful salad!
ReplyDelete~JO
Yummy! The recipe and your pictures. I'm off to check out the rest of the party.
ReplyDelete~ ~Ahrisha~ ~
You make the yummiest looking stuff! Like I've said many times before, I sure wish I lived closer!
ReplyDeleteYour taco salads look fabulous, Rett! Avocado adds a great flavor and color too. I hope I can participate in your party. Am trying to think of someone who has the same china I do....
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs, Beth
Wow, does this look great! I love taco salad, but haven't made it in years -- who knows why? I'll be making it this week though. Yum!
ReplyDeleteM-m-m-m, your Taco Salad looks terrific! I'm sre Rachel would be proud!!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like it would be perfect for a summertime supper. Salad and steak...what could be better?
ReplyDeleteRett, you honestly have a gift. Normally I think Rachel Ray's food is complete slop and wonder why anyone takes her seriously. Somehow you have managed to make one of her recipes not only look mouthwatering, but it looks like something I'd actually eat. Thank you for that, and I truly do mean all this as a true compliment to your cooking skills!
ReplyDeleteI have tried exactly once to make my own bowls. Then, I happily found that I could just buy them. I love to put a Mexicanish salad in a taco bowl. Makes me think of the song "Candy Man". (You can even eat the dishes.)
ReplyDeleteYou salad looks yummy!
I love avocado! YUM! Your salad looks delish!! I will have to head over to Kathleens to see how she made her bowls.
ReplyDeleteIf it has an avocado on it, I'll love it! I like my tacos as salad or nachos too, they are much less messy! Hope all is well at your house!
ReplyDeleteI'm making steak salad for dinner tonight and would never have thought to serve it in a taco bowl...brilliant! No time to make my own today. Thank heavens for store bought.
ReplyDeleteRett, Can I come to your house for this wonderful and BEAUTIFUL taco salad? It looks soooooo good. I am puting this ON THE MENU MONDAY next week. Please look for it with a link back to your post!
ReplyDeleteGoodness, it is almost 10:00pm and I am so hungry after reading your post!
Thanks so much for participating in OTMM and bringing us this fabulous dish! OLE!
Yvonne
So funny! These steak tacos look wonderful (even with the store bought taco shells).
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a perfect light meal for a hot TX evening.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots, too.
They make taco bowls? I always just stuff them in a bowl and they ruffle by themselves! Thanks for the mention! The taco looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteLook so yummy! Visiting from Yvonne @ Stone Gables. We are having this tonight for dinner! But without the taco bowl. Hubby prefers chips. I am sure it will be just as yummy! Linda @bushel and a pickle
ReplyDeleteYou had me at avocado. Great to have you being a part of Seasonal Sundays. Sorry to be so late in getting to visit.
