September is National Sewing Month

I have been sewing up a storm lately.

No time to read anything other than patterns,

so no book review this week.

No time to set a pretty table either.

Here is a sneak peak at what I've been working on

I'll save them for another day.

  4. By the looks of the sneak peek, you sure have been busy. Looks like you have some cute things for the upcoming seasons.

I am a beginner at sewing. I bought a couple of simple things for the Summer, but did not get to them, so who knows if they will fit my girls next year.

    All the Best,

    Requi

  6. Rett, you are amazing!...and inspiring. I have gone as far as organizing my sewing space, but since it's in the guest room all projects are on hold until our Danish company departs. I can't wait to see what you're working on!

  9. Oh SOME DAY I hope to have little (grand) daughters to buy dresses for again, especially with little matching doll dresses. I'm going to go to that site just to remember for a pair of minutes.

  10. I really think your middle name is "Talent". You have so much of it. Darling, sweet dresses. Your Caroline is the best dressed little girl.
I can sew a little, but I will have to learn when the granddaughters start coming.
I always love to visit, dear friend!

You are one talented lady ... your home is beautiful. I love your Labor Day tablescape (the polka dot plates are too cute) and can only imagine how drool-worthy your Fall table settings and other decor will be. I look forward to tagging along. Again, thanks for your kind note ... have a great day, Becca

  19. HI RETT!!
I will HOP right over and tell her I saw it on your blog!!!I would LOVE to win that!!!
And I LOVE what you are previewing as well!!!That Christmas Quilt or tree skirt--oh that looks divine!!And the dresses are both so cute!!I need a Sewing machine and some patience!!!
You always have the MOST Awesome things on your BLOG and you inspire me every time I pop in here!!!
I sometimes wish I had your phone number, I can just hear your sweet voice and I wish I had called you or read your post about Sugar coatings before I gave it to them Sugar free, it is a cousin of mine's 27 year old daughter that created all this family drama this time, and I stood up for my nephew's wife, who this very mean girl called a Transvestite, one of the MEANEST CRUELEST things to say to such a darling good christian girl, whom she has never met, just saw in pictures. OH I will go into the entire story one day, for now I need to heal from all of this.
But time does make people realize I had a right to say the things I said, but at first they (all of them live in Indiana--my fmaily are scattered) thought mI should have just let it go. Sorry NO.
Oh well, I said it and I am not sorry, just sorry my dear cousin is still mad at me and does not recognize that her daughter is a bully, she probably does know it but will not ever admit to it.
OK, see why I was so upset???
    but there is alot more!!
    That is it
I hope you have a Great Wednesday, for me it shall be, as I am so grateful for so many things, and I have Miss C on Wed. for 1/2 the day!!
SO I think we may paint tomorrow, helps her with her colors!!
    hugs sweetie,
    jamie
