This holiday season may you....
give a gift of yourself
mend a quarrel
seek out a forgotten friend
share some treasure
give a soft answer
encourage youth
keep a promise
find the time
laugh a little,
laugh a little more...
express your gratitude
welcome a stranger
gladden the heart of a child
take pleasure in the beauty &
wonder of the earth

speak your love...
speak it again...
speak it still once again
and let your heart be filled with holiday joy.

(excerpts from Day by Day with Charles Swindoll)

Be silent and listen to the voice of God.

Pause from a hectic schedule to be refreshed in spirit.

Accentuate the joy of God’s provision
through thanksgiving.

End the day by reflecting on the Lord’s faithfulness.

Wishing all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving!
May you be surrounded by family &
friends to warm your heart.

  8. Sweet Rett~ I'm strolling in to catch up and especially to wish you and your loved ones a Happy Thanksgiving!
It's such a wonderful time to stop and reflect on all those we cherish and are truly grateful for.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to visit and leave feeling inspired!

Even though our Thanksgiving is very small in number, with hubby and son (we don't count the cat cause she doesn't like turkey). We don't scrimp on the menu...from appetizers to desserts with several carb loaded dishes in between! We will be enjoying tryptophan playoffs too!

    Sweet Holiday wishes,

  9. Rett, pray you and your family are able to share a blessed and happy holiday. I know if you do the cooking it will be fabulous. Take care dear friend and regards to Ern.

  10. Rett, this was just beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing not only that beautiful musical score and accompanying photographs, but that wonderful piece form Chuck Swindoll whom I dearly love! Is he not THE BEST?

Here's wishing that you and yours have a most marvelous Thanksgiving and all the blessings your hearts and lives can hold.

    Happy Thanksgiving...

    Sheila :-)

  11. I will trade you my sparkley dishes for that wonderful pumpkin roll with the ice cream and the wonderful warm carmel sauce, it looks to die for...Happy Thanksgiving, thanks for visiting...

  12. Lovely thoughts Rhett - especially this time of year when the days seem so hectic -- thanks for your kind visit to my table this week.

  13. Love your blog....Taking a few hours to read some favorite of my favorite things to do and something I have done very little of in recent days. I have some wonderful families featured on my holiday blog...

  14. Thank you so much for the blog advice. I would never dream someone would use that information to do something bad, but you're right...we live in a world where we have to be cautious. I'm going back to all my previous posts to make sure there is nothing with too much information. I have the blog for fun but it is also a way for my husband's family to be updated on our adventures during Megan's, our youngest, senior year. Thank you again for the advice...Please come back and let me know if you see anything else that needs changing. By the way, hope you enjoy the soup! Anita

  15. Love Enya and the video was beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing!

  16. Rett, I am playing 'catch up' today and just watched your beautiful video. The music was the perfect touch, too. Thank you for sharing such lovely memories. You have a beautiful soul!

Thank you so much for leaving a comment. I read them all & each one is so very special to me & I try really hard to return the visit!
