Easy~Peasy~Chocolate~Squeezey!!

Choc. covered 6 labeled

Want a really fast & easy dessert that would be pretty for Valentine's Day?  Or just anytime you need something a little bit fancy in a hurry!

All I did was take a small handful of chocolate chips, place them in a sandwich baggie & melt them in the microwave for less than 1 minute.  In fact, I checked them every few seconds, smooshing (that's a very technical cooking term)  the chocolate around to help it all melt evenly.

Twist the bag down until all of the chocolate is in one corner.
Cut off a VERY TEENY TINY bit of that corner of the bag &
slowly move the warm stream of chocolate across some
vanilla creme horns from the grocery store. They have the most wonderfully flaky pastry with a rich, sweet filling.

We each enjoyed ONE then shared the rest with a neighbor couple & the single guy across the street.  I got them out of the house REAL FAST, but ooooh, they were soooo good!!

I think I need to practice my squiggling a little more.  I was trying to be too perfect...the wilder, the better in this case, I think!

Come join the fun & see what others are cooking up.
Thank you ladies for hosting all these wonderfully inspiring memes each week!

  3. I love when you take something store bought and make it your own! I have been known to take a pie and put it in one of my pie plates! Just sayin' :-)

  4. What a great idea! I don't know where I'll find those pastries, but I'll go looking over the next few days - perhaps at a bakery.

  13. Rett~ I love the title of your post! Such a fun way to add a little decorative chocolate to a store bought goodie! While baking is not my strong suit, I have squeezing & smooshing down pat :)

  15. Oh, this brings back memories. Growing up, I used to LOVE cream horns. I don't think I ever had them with chocolate like yours, but that is probably a good thing because I wouldn't have been able to resist them either. I know your neighbors must have been pleased to get such a wonderful treat. Thanks for sharing your great idea!
